Where is Spiti?
Spiti Valley is a high-altitude Indian valley in the Trans-Himalayas, on the border with China. Sitting below Ladakh and in the middle of Shimla and Manali, Spiti — "the middle land" — is a high-altitude desert of ochre monasteries, ancient villages and windswept 5,000-metre peaks, starting at around 3,000m elevation.
Our work in the valley
We at Spiti Valley Tours have been conducting responsible wildlife safaris and photography tours of the natural beauty in Spiti for many years and continue to lead efforts in conservation and education. We are proud to have contributed to Spiti becoming a premier wildlife destination, drawing large crowds of photographers in winter seeking to photograph the elusive Snow Leopard.
One of the first operators to promote sustainable eco-tourism in Spiti, maintaining local ownership and working alongside the community and conservation efforts.
